Sandman

A stop-motion animation of the terrifying story that Nathanael heard from his nurse:

A bit of Googling informs me that my erstwhile favorite obscure rock band, The Residents (whom I kind of lost track of in the mid-nineties, after many years of true obsession) just released a narrative album The Voice of Midnight, based closely on Hoffmann's "Sandman." It's supposed to be pretty lousy, as much of their recent stuff is (in my opinion...); has anyone heard it?
