Reading the Proofs

In Section 2, we are constantly reminded by the Arial font that we cannot read these proofs from a modern perspective with their ultimate implications in mind. This is difficult to do. It is like reading a mystery novel when you already know the ending; it is very easy to see the clues and very difficult to appreciate the puzzle.
