Mathematics divine?

While reading Labyrinth, I was struck by Kepler's view that "geometry is unique and eternal, a reflection from the mind of God." Pesic commented that "Kepler envisioned a bridge connecting the material, earthly world and the celestial realm of geometric knowledge." I found it interesting that Kepler believed mathematics to be a reflection of the divine, rather than something created by man in an attempt to bring order to the universe. I have always agreed with the latter opinion, personally. Does it ultimately matter if mathematics is something divine or manmade?
